Sharon Cuneta Tweets to Haters on Twitter

Written By Admin on Saturday, February 18, 2012 | 1:19 AM

Sharon Cuneta addressed her haters who supposedly made comments about her being “fake.”

Sharon Cuneta (@sharon_cuneta12) joined the Twitter world just two months ago and since then, her followers were able to keep up with what’s happening to her everyday. But for a popular celebrity like her, if you have followers, it’s almost given that you will also have haters.
Last February 16, Sharon responded to some of her bashers on Twitter:

“My gulay same ole bashers are crowding my page! They are probably panicking bigtime… They all sense that 2012 is gonna be DIFFERENT and big for me!! They’re looking like demons trembling in fear cos they’re about to be cast out! How some people choose to use their time — so unwisely in this case, instead of doing good or for self-improvement — I will never fathom. God sees everything. God is good. And he made me FEISTY!!! Hahahahahahahahaha!”

And then she started firing back at them.
Her response to those who calls her “fake”:

“Funny how some people call u ‘fake’ or ‘plastic’ then when u reply you’re ‘pumapatol!’ They can’t even make up theirlittle minds about what I supposedly am! Defend yourself cos you’re being real, keep quiet & ignore – it’s damned if u do & damned if u don’t.”

Her response to those who call her movies and tv shows “flop”:

“chaka kung makabintang naman yung iba ng “flop” maryosep kala mo nagbilang ng kita!”
“ang bababoy magsalita naman ng mga yan princess grabe. Di ako lumaking nakakarinig ng mga ganyan.”

Her response to those who call her “fat” (via her conversation with friend @princesskat_tee):

And here’s the Megastar’s final statement for her bashers:

“Well — here’s a thought: they focus on ME. And I don’t know who they are (who does?)! So they can pretend to be better but I KNOW I’m a better human-being. I hope they’ve at least changed some lives in their lifetimes, or kahit touched some lives lang. I doubt that they have! Here’s big news for them: YOU HAVE NO POWER. Over me or anyone in this page. Or in this country. Except siguro those littler than u who know you! Soap your mouths! And thanks for all the energy & time & effort that u put into bashing me! I feel so important that I seem to be your scariest threat! family time guys! I slept so well that I dunno how I’ll sleep tonight! Oh, no!!!”

Sharon Cuneta is slated to make a grand TV comeback this March via a daytime talk show on the Kapatid Network.
She’s also on the cover of MEGA Magazine’s February 2012 issue.

Whitney Houston Dead at 48

Written By Admin on Sunday, February 12, 2012 | 12:56 AM

Whitney Houston was found dead today in a Beverly Hills hotel room.

Paramedics arriving at the Beverly Hilton found the singer's body.

While the cause of death is still unknown, Houston's publicist Kristen Foster has confirmed the sad news.

Houston had been scheduled to attend the annual pre-Grammy party of music mogul Clive Davis, who discovered her, tonight and had attended rehearsals for the event earlier this week. The party was still held, and Davis asked for a moment of silence as they dedicated the evening to Houston.

Recording Academy president Neil Portnow said at the pre-Grammy gala that Sunday's Grammy ceremony would include "something appropriate" in tribute to the singer, including a performance by Jennifer Hudson. "What's beautiful about Whitney is the legacy she left."

"Whitney always hit you with that beautiful smile, that incredible energy" said Diddy, who also attended Davis' pre-Grammy gathering. "Whitney Houston had the greatest voice in the world. We truly lost an angel."

The Recording Academy released the following statement on Saturday evening:

Six-time GRAMMY(r) winner Whitney Houston was one of the world's greatest pop singers of all time who leaves behind a robust musical soundtrack spanning the past three decades. Her powerful voice graced many memorable and award-winning songs. A light has been dimmed in our music community today, and we extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, fans and all who have been touched by her beautiful voice.

Houston, the daughter of gospel singer Cissy Houston and cousin of singer Dionne Warwick, was known for her string of hits in the Eighties and Nineties, including "The Greatest Love of All," "I Will Always Love You," "How Will I Know" and "I'm Every Woman." She also had an acting career, appearing in The Bodyguard and Waiting to Exhale.

In addition to her six Grammys, Houston also won two Emmys and 22 American Music Awards. Her rendition of the national anthem at the Super Bowl in 1991 is often considered the standard by which other versions are judged.

She was married to R&B singer Bobby Brown from 1992 to 2007, and the couple had one daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, born in 1993. The couple appeared in the reality TV series Being Bobby Brown in 2005.

In recent years, Houston was more known for her tumultuous personal life and struggles with addiction.

Reaction to her death began pouring in throughout media outlets, including Twitter.

Mariah Carey released the following statement:

Heartbroken and in tears over the shocking death of my friend, the incomparable Ms. Whitney Houston. My heartfelt condolences to Whitney's family and to all her millions of fans throughout the world. She will never be forgotten as one of the greatest voices to ever grace the earth.

“Whitney was family to me," Smokey Robinson told CNN. "I will always love her. She is one of the greatest voices in the history of music."

Madlang People Made 'It's Showtime' To The Top

Written By Admin on Saturday, February 11, 2012 | 10:37 PM

ABS-CBN’s new noontime program “It’s Showtime” has just started serving up unparalleled fun to the madlang people with its amusing games and exciting prizes but it already became the most talked-about local topics on Twitter during its much-awaited pilot last Monday (Feb 6).

The pilot elicited delight and thrill among Filipino netizens, prompting the hashtag ‘#ItsShowtime’ to top Twitter’s trending topics. Also trending on the micro-blogging site was ‘Baliwag U,’ a term popularized by host Anne Curtis, and the impromptu comical skit segment ‘Sine Mo ‘To.’

True to their promise to make Filipinos happy, the hosts continue to bring their own brand of entertainment through ‘Sine Mo ‘To’ by thriving on spontaneity and giving the spotlight to the randomly selected studio audience members.
After it trended on Twitter, the highly engaging segment captured the hearts of viewers who have since followed the story narrated by Vhong Navarro and Billy Crawford and acted out by the selected madlang people and hosts Anne, ‘Kuya’ Kim Atienza, Karylle, Vice Ganda, Teddy Corpuz, Jugs Jugueta, Jhong Hilario, Ryan Bang, Coleen Garcia, and Eric ‘Eruption’ Tai.
Aside from the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform on-stage with the hosts, the audience participants also get to win cash prizes depending on their performance in ‘Akting Mo, Premyo Mo.’
The program continues to discover the most entertaining acts from all over the country via the Classic Showtime talent search portion, while the hosts get to unleash their wacky side in “Arte Mo!” where the remaining contestant advances to Kuya Kim’s thrilling “Rock Clock” round and could win as much as P500,000.
Meanwhile, people who can’t sing in tune don’t need to worry in the ‘Singing V’ game, hosted by Vice, that challenges participants’ knowledge of song lyrics.
‘Party-party’ with the ‘unkabogable’ barkada of “It’s Showtime” weekdays and Saturdays at 11:30 a.m on ABS-CBN. Kabarkadas should also stay tuned to Studio 23 next week, from February 13 to 17 for the simulcast of “It’s Showtime” at 11:30 a.m.
